A Slinger Signaller helps move big loads safely on a building site. They work with crane operators to make sure everything is lifted and placed the right way. This job is very important, and with the right training, you can start a great career in construction.
Lifting Gear & How to Use It
Learn about the different tools used to lift heavy things, like slings, shackles and hooks. You will find out how to check if they are safe and how to use them the right way. Knowing your equipment helps keep everyone safe on the job.
How to Sling & Move Loads
Find out how to safely lift and move loads. Learn how to keep them balanced so they do not tip or fall. You will also learn how to tell how heavy something is and the best ways to keep it safe while lifting.
Safety Checks Before You Work
Before lifting anything, you must check your tools to make sure they are safe. Learn how to set up safe work areas, spot dangers and remove unsafe equipment. Safety is the most important part of the job.
Communication & Hand Signals
A Slinger Signaller must use hand signals and radios to talk to the crane operator. Learn the signals and how to guide loads, even when it is loud or hard to see. Good communication keeps the site safe.
